About McKenzie

I began racing in July of 2016 at English Creek Speedway. In my first five races, I had three top fives and one heat win. I also finished 3rd at the English Creek Outlaw Dirt Kart Nationals and 2nd at the Jackson Nationals. In 2017, I finished in the top 10 every race, 6th at the English Creek Nationals, 8th in points for the year, and Most Improved Box Stock Driver of the Year. In 2018, I started writing a column for SpeedSport.com, won the Mayors Choice Award, Hard Charger Award, raced in the Box Stock and started the 250cc class at English Creek Speedway, and finished 5th in Box Stock Championship Points. In 2019, I won the 250cc Championship at English Creek Speedway. In 2020, I started racing the 500cc class. I received the 500cc Rookie of the Year Award and won the 2020 500cc Championship at English Creek Speedway. In 2021, won the 500cc Championship at English Creek Speedway. In 2022, I relocated to Mooresville, NC and started racing the 600cc Micro Class.

Biography

I'm a 14 year old race car driver from Norwalk, IA. I started going to the Sprint Car races at Knoxville Speedway in 2015 and fell in love with racing. In 2016, we got season tickets so I could go to every race. In May of 2016, my Dad asked if I wanted to race someday and... working with McKenna Haase and Compass Racing Development, I was racing in July of 2016. I started mid year in the Restricted Box Stock at English Creek Speedway. I was able to get a podium finish at both the English Creek and Jackson, MN Nationals. In 2017, I moved up to the Box Stock class and was able to win a heat race, be most Improved Driver of the Year, 6th at Nationals and was able to race in Wisconsin and North Carolina. 2018 will be an exciting year as I will be able to race my final year in the Box Stock class and also start in the 250 Outlaw class.
